How to Get a Free Blade Skin in the Marvel Rivals Halloween Event

Marvel Rivals Halloween is being celebrated in style, with tons of events and the chance to get a free Blade skin. The Blade skin is an epic skin called Blade Knight, where Sunwalker dresses up as Moon Knight in a Halloween costume.

To get the Blade skin, you'll need to get it from the Amazing Journey event, which is an event reward board directly tied to the other event, Marvel Zombies. The way Amazing Journey works is that you earn lanterns by completing missions (mainly those in Marvel Zombies). Using the lantern, you roll your pieces around the board and move based on the number you roll. You always get new rewards, so a total of 21 lanterns are needed to get all the rewards. While you can get Knight of Blades for free, premium rewards are included with the Premium Event Pass for 690 credits ($7).

Both events run until November 14th.

Marvel Rivals Marvel Zombies Event

Marvel Zombies is a limited-time PvE mode in which up to four players must complete a mission and fight hordes of zombies. The mission contains multiple waves, with two boss battles – one against Namor in the middle and one against the Scarlet Witch to complete the mission.

There are a series of 10 missions for you to complete in Marvel Zombies or regular matches under the Voyage to Astonish tab in Missions. A new mission will be unlocked every day until all missions are available, but you must complete one before the next unlock. Additionally, there's a Marvel Zombies missions tab, which contains additional missions based on clearing each difficulty, with reward lanterns and small cosmetics like sprays and titles.

There are five characters to choose from in Marvel Zombies:

• punisher
• magic
• Thor
• blade
• land shark jeff

Since the hero pool is small, You can have duplicate heroes. It's worth noting that while Jeff has healing abilities in Marvel Zombies, his gear has been modified to focus primarily on dealing damage. Each character can have variations of their common abilities, and there are skill trees that can be upgraded, allowing you to focus on your preferred playstyle. You can reset the skill tree at any time. In addition to skill points, you can unlock various abilities at level 10*, 15, and 25.

*The first ability is listed as unlocked at level 10, but we unlocked it at level 5.

You level up by performing missions and earn experience points by defeating zombies and completing objectives. All characters level up at the same time, so if you play a game as Jeff and get four levels, all other characters will get four levels as well.

Play Marvel Zombies

Marvel Zombies has seven difficulty levels:

• Ordinary
• difficult
• extreme
• Nightmare No.1
• Nightmare No. 2
• Nightmare III
• Nightmare four

You need to complete the previous difficulty run to unlock the next difficulty. The task flow for each run is basically the same. You'll make your way through small areas, dealing with hordes of zombies, until you reach the next area. You earn points in battle, which you can use to purchase upgrades between rounds.

These upgrades only last for the current mission and are distributed like roguelike upgrades. You can buy three cards, with the option to re-roll for 1 point, and the option of a 15-point mystery spin. Mystic Spins can also be earned by completing special objectives throughout the mission, which can reward you with multiple cards at once, duplicate some of your cards, and other powerful rewards.

While you'll also see a few other objectives in each mission, the two biggest obstacles are the boss fights. For Namor fights, he becomes temporarily invincible at certain points, but you can always damage him by taking out one of the dozens of squid turrets he throws down.

For Scarlet Witch, the only major hurdle in her boss fight is the final part. When you get her health low enough (each boss will have a massive health bar, represented by an “X” with a number next to the right side of the bar). In Scarlet Witch's final phase, she will begin to perform her ultimate reality wipe.

During this time, a small progress bar below her health bar will become smaller. You need to get her away before it's over. As she charges, small red crystals will occasionally appear, which will extend your time slightly if you take them out. Critical hits are effective against boss enemies and are crucial to dealing enough damage to succeed.
