How to clear the Sims 4 cache

A quick and easy solution is clearing the game's cache – its location temporarily stores images and other data for easy recall. While clearing the cache, most of them will benefit from mod users, but it can also help if your world is too full of Sims and complex homes you build or download from the gallery.

Clear the Sims 4 cache

A common problem encountered by SIMS players is that the cache of the game is easily exacerbated by MOD usage. Over time, cache files are not good at tracking these changes as you update each mod and continue playing. With the mod installed, there is a good chance that a series of data will eventually appear, which will greatly slow down your game.

Clearing the cache on your PC or MAC is very easy as it involves deleting only two files. First, navigate to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Once you get there, you will delete two files: localthumbcache.package.package and avatarcache.package.
