How to be at the peak

How to perform cannon failure in peak

The second step involves the backpack. After grabbing it, head to the scout cannon and jump in. Your character must stand in it. Then, select the backpack and discard it. The idea is that the backpack needs to be inside the cannon. Then, continue to exit.

It must have been a bit off-roader after putting down the bag and walking out of the cannon – after all we were doing a small malfunction. If you have trouble quitting, grab your pack and repeat the steps. Again, the position of the backpack itself does not matter, but it needs to be inside.

Now is the fun part. Make sure to have Flare Get ready with you and once ready, ignite the rear of the cannon to start the explosion. Once you do, run around and jump in with your backpack.

The explosion will trigger soon. Now, once you're in the air, you have to Spam Dead Elemote. Using the mouse and keyboard, this requires opening the Emote wheel with R and moving the cursor to the symbol. You must repeat this several times.

If you succeed, you will start skipping the entire level. You'll know this because you'll see the title screen appear quickly. Depending on what you've achieved so far, you might have some new popups, and this is me, a cool cucumber badge that can't climb over Mesa Biome without over 10% calories.

Eventually, you'll stop flying and be at the top of the peak, look OK, glitch. You will be surrounded by light blue walls, which will slowly give you cold damage. Once you stop moving, continue to light the flare. This way you can trigger the helicopter and you can then use it to escape and finish the run. Try not to take too long, otherwise the cold may surpass you.

One last note: You may not peak on your first attempt. This is a tricky malfunction. But I was able to do this on my third try, so keep trying.

After patching, can you still make cannon failures at peaks?

The short answer is, yes, the cannon glitch in Peak is still working after patch 1.25.a issued in late August.

To prevent people from using glitches too frequently, one of the main fixatives makes the fog wall taller, which is the wall that separates the biological population.
