Hey. Hey you. Yes and you. People who play Hollow Knight: Silk Song. I just wanted to let you know before you continue, you are missing a bench in Billwater. Just in case it helps.
If you haven't been to Bilewater yet, this PSA is still for you. You'll get there and you'll want to know this. I'm going to spoil Bilevoirt in this article, so if you don't want to know this information, leave and come back when you're angry enough about Bilevoirt.
Bile water is notorious. It's a massive, nasty area on the other side of the already frustrating Sinner's Path that you can stumble into very early in Silk Song's first act, and is required if you want to see the game's third act. Gut Water is disgusting for many reasons: it has a lot of nasty enemy types that can ambush you and ruin your day, there are a lot of spikes you can fall over and hurt yourself, and, notably, it's filled with maggot-filled water that prevents you from healing and regenerating silk. bile water is horrible.
But aside from the larval water, one of the scariest things about Bile Water is the lack of benches. There is a bench trail right at the Bell Beast Station at the bottom of Bearwater. At first, you might be fooled into thinking there is a second bench near the top left of the area, but, surprise! This is a trap. Not a bench at all. You fell into maggot water.
So…uh…is that it? Is the Bell Beast Bench really the only bench in Billwater? Do you really need to run the entire area, through rivers of maggot-infested slime, past mounds of spiked and exploding bug enemies, and those hideous things that spew venom at you, all the way back to its boss in a long and agonizing non-stop?
you do not know. be free. You're missing a bench in Billwater. Here it is:
we have a Detailed guide to passing bile water on IGN, which you should use to find this bench when the time comes. In a nutshell, the hidden Bile Water Bench is located behind a breakable wall on the far right side of the cave, past a giant pool of maggot soup at the bottom of the pit. Break the wall and drop down another pit, then break another wall to the left to find a secret bench. Luckily, this one is safe and won't unceremoniously plunge you into an abyss of pain when you try to sit down.
This bench is very, very close to Grohl, the owner of Billwater, although still some distance away from him. I recommend again our walkthrough Ask for help with surviving in Bilewater, because it is a really nasty and difficult place to be.
We've seen a lot of people think that running back Groal is one of the worst running backs in the Souls genre, even with the help of a hidden bench. We're curious if you agree, so we've set up a poll above. Vote to let us know which of these bosses has the slowest return to the arena from safety every time you die and have to try to fight them again. Or if there's a worse fight we haven't mentioned here, let us know in the comments.
In addition to our Bilewater guide, we also have Detailed Wikipedia Helping you every step of your Pharloom journey, so check back before, during and after Bilewater.
