In Squanch Games, humans aren't exactly at the top of the food chain high life 2. This first-person shooter takes place in a universe where aliens have come to Earth to exploit humans as an ingredient in an interstellar drug. Now, a new trailer for the game hilariously pitches itself to alien consumers, encouraging them to take Humanzapro, a new wonder drug made by humans.
The trailer is in the style of drug commercials typically shown on American television. All the tropes from these ads are present, including shots of aliens being happy after taking drugs. Interestingly, the ad warns people not to take Humanzapro because of its side effects. This made us wonder if this particular drug might act as an enhancement during gaming.
High on Life introduced players to Rick and Morty -style talking sci-fi weapons, which is fitting, since the first game was made by Rick and Morty co-creator and Squanch Games co-founder Justin Roiland, who also voiced a sentient alien weapon. Roiland forced to quit Squanch Games, Rick and Morty soon to follow series of accusations.
The sequel introduces a new feature that allows players to skateboard into combat and incorporate it into their offensive moves. Alternatively, players can use the board to perform tricks.
