Speaking of death violations, Morros's carved dowel is another good option, although it is also extremely risky. Basically, if your HP drops to zero, Moros will start the 10-second countdown of your upcoming doom. If you manage to defeat all enemies within the time limit, you save your life. If not, Melinoe will perish (or use up her death violation token).

The engraved dowel is one of the best souvenirs in Hades 2, as it triggers all other death-violating tokens (when your HP reaches zero). Technically, this means you have an unlimited amount of extra life.

The biggest problem is if you can't eliminate all hostility within the 10-second time limit. For example, maybe another enemy wave that just generated or the boss's HP is still too high. This means Melinoe's death or wasted death violation token. Again, it only grants a small amount of HP, and you are often at risk of losing your life late in the run with impact on your enemies.
