GTA 6 fans dive into the trailer 2 to figure out which gameplay is after the rock stars clarifies

overnight, Rockstar confirms GTA 6 trailer 2 is “completely” captured in PlayStation 5guessing in bed the lens looks good, it must be from a PS5 Pro or PC. Crucially, Rockstar also confirmed that Trialer 2 “is composed of the same gameplay and cutscenes”.
Shot on face value, trailer 2 doesn't seem to have gameplay, and most of what we see looks like cutscene material. The Prerequisite Display (HUD) is now displayed, without the controller icon or any other element that suggests gameplay.
However, given Rockstar's statement, we can assume that there is a gameplay, just the HUD is turned off, and the camera may be in a non-game position. So, which trailer 2 is suitable for the bill? This is exactly the problem the GTA community is trying to solve now.
The most obvious candidate Potential cutscenes that have been marked as transitional moments in gameplay: When Jason entered his apartment. It seems certainly that this is the gameplay and it's even possible how to start GTA 6.
Elsewhere, Redditor OriginalTomato8235 wrote a compilation of what they believe is the gameplay displayed in the trailer. It includes:
- Jason robbed convenience store sequence
- Jason went out with beer
- Jason driving looks like a first person perspective
- Jason lifts weights on the beach (players suspect this is one of the GTA 6 mini games)
- Jason fires from a moving car
- Lucia's combat training (another potential mini game)
- Lucia
- We look at the sequence of Jason's TV from a first person perspective (this is a shot that includes the fake PS5 and Dualsense controllers, and possibly the character of Vice City's Phil Cassidy)
- Kitchen knife chases the swamp
- Jason and Lucia Jetskiing
- Jason rides a motorcycle
- Jason jumps to drive Lucia
- Jason throws a guy into the car
It's a long list (remember, Rockstar says “equal parts”), but it boils down to the gameplay probably all the parts that are obviously not cutscenes. That is to say, all the positions that the character does not speak.
Trailer 2 has broken the audience record, but it is also amazing fans, and we see the In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-In-Iness PS5 gaming footage is spectacular here. Yes, HUD is shut down, and yes, Rockstar is positioning the camera in a way that players can’t do when they finally get to the game in May 2026, but we’re realistic about what we expect next year, which is encouraging.
