Bethesda has been waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6 After an extraordinary charity event raised more than $85,000 for Make-A-Wish, a character will be included in the memory of a fan who is deeply missed.
Led by the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages (UESP) team, former member Loranna Pyrel was immortalized in The Elder Scrolls VI after creating a forum-based role-playing campaign series that was inspired by Bethesda's games and went on to inspire the in-game work of Ted Peterson, one of the series' writers.
Fans have previously attempted to incorporate Pyrel into The Elder Scrolls 6 via: Silent Auction Organized by Bethesda for Make-A-Wish – only to have their group bid beaten by another anonymous contestant.
After that incident, Bethesda agreed to change the rules to give the UESP gang a second chance – if they met the auction's winning bid of $85,450. They've now done just that, thanks to a massive donation from The Elder Scrolls creators, UESP, and the Imperial Library of other fan resources.
“It is incredible that we have gotten to this point,” UESP wrote in a statement. postal on Instagram. “This whole thing started as an off-the-cuff comment about a possible team-up and then grew into a huge team effort. We look forward to adding this character to TES6.
“We can't think of a more fitting way to honor Lorraine's contribution to the Elder Scrolls community and lore, while adding appropriate content to the lore, than with a community charity fundraiser like this.”
We just finished a meeting with Bethesda to design a character for The Elder Scrolls 6. To be honest, many of us were very nervous and even had reservations going into the conference, but now we are all very excited about what is about to happen. pic.twitter.com/8493WN6CBB
