Final Fantasy 7's Aerith is fed up with using “porn” to label voice actors “creepy” for featuring their characters

After White saw it, the discussion started K-Pop: Demon Hunter Actor Rei Ami discovered adult fan fiction featuring her character Zoey. In response, White said fans generally “forgot the meaning of the word 'inappropriate'”.
“Maybe let's normalize it and not give voice actors the filthy label that their characters have,” White Wrote But many fans responded that Ami was purposefully seeking out the content, with White later saying it was all a matter of “consent.”
“It's a real shame when VA wants to interact with people who love these characters on social media, only to have a few haters ruin the interaction for everyone,” White wrote. She admitted that she has seen various fan-made Final Fantasy 7 content, although she tries to “actively avoid it.”
White played Aerith in 2020's Final Fantasy 7 Remake, before reprising her role in 2024's Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion final fantasy 7 rebornand Final Fantasy Tactics: Chronicles of Ivalice.
“I'm so connected to FF7 that I see it every day,” White explained. “As someone has said before, this is a question of consent. It's nearly impossible to know what is and isn't acceptable just by knowing a person's social media persona.”
Ultimately, White acknowledged that while Ami chose to seek out fan-made content that prompted her original post, fans should still be careful about what they share. “Okay, okay, you've all spoken, I hear you,” White concluded. “The point is, it just doesn't fit (Rei Ami). Move on.”
White will return in Square Enix's upcoming game The third and final installment in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy — a game Won’t cut content to feel “simpler” Than the sometimes meandering Final Fantasy 7 Reborn.
“It was about making sure the pacing felt right,” said series director Naoki Hamaguchi. “It's not about cutting things out, it's about making sure that it feels right, that the pace at which the story moves feels right and is fairly fast and feels like you can get it done at a reasonable pace. But it has to feel right, so that's what I'm mostly trying to say.”
