Everything about NTE

My interest in games has taken me through the experience of living on the other side of the planet since the characters turned RPG into a fantastic voyeuristic Japanese travel simulator. Whether it is roaming the Osaka streets of Yakuza or wandering in the feces of the kingdom: the saved medieval bohemia, picking up the controller and bringing a window to the lives of others, it is satisfying.
However, as the characters provide a disappointing linear Tokyo, I've been nailed and lost in a truly massive virtual metropolis. Thankfully, my strange prayer proved to be answered. Welcome to NTE Hotta Studio’s sleek and exciting new anime open world RPG.

NTE was developed by the creators of the 2021 Hot Tower of Fantasy, and it is a completely open world anime cloak made with Unreal Engine 5. Bring players to the near future Hetherreau, anime-style characters can roam freely, as they see, the future metropolis. Hethereau feels like the fusion of Shanghai, Seoul and Tokyo, completely explorable in its enormous glory – it ultimately satisfies this free form of fragments of life.
The city of Hetherau looks absolutely amazing and it helps. As clear character models come to life through expressive animations, Lumen Lighting Tech brings impressive reflections to street lights and puzzles. A little bit, it feels pleasing to explore the cityscape. From scattered with crowded squares to drinking coffee in a quiet café or struggling with anomalies in the back alley, there is an impressive map begging for exploration. When you jump into the car and hit incoming traffic, chat with the overly excited citizens and then go to the portal to cut open some handsome guys, it's hard not to feel like you're playing Shonen Jump Twist on the GTA.
Real-time weather helps keep your time in Hethereau fresh – no matter what the predictions are. Whenever you start NTE, you never know what dates are waiting, your daily adventures move from sun-soaked city streets to packed city streets to racing cars all over town with snow-filled windshield wipers. It's all surprisingly realised and immersive, and even snow affects NPC's behavior. Pedestrians left snow prints in the past days, and even heavy snow even caused traffic to stall increasingly tightly.

Autumn abnormalities
Nevertheless, this is not all good times – after all, there are threats to humanity. As people around the world suddenly mutate as the soup falls from the sky, once ordinary citizens, the super vortex will destroy and go crazy, and authorities can try to curb this terrible anomaly before spreading. As a member of the Anomaly Control Containment Division, you have the right to help keep citizens safe.
Just like in the game that inspired it, there is a vague difference between regular city life and dynamic showdowns. In NTE, the vast Hethereau is glittering with surreal qualities that seamlessly blend everyday life with realistic sci-fi. The city’s former world is divided into two main parts, a well-ordered, seamless open-world Cyberpunk metropolis where players can explore and advance the story, and this story – you guessed it, but local city twisted by those nasty supernatural, unnatural pains caused by local city twist.

The sunny streets of the former world form a sharp contrast with the unusually dark and terrifying encounters. This part made me wander a deserted abandoned school. These weird parts emit a glittering corridor, and a pulsating crimson oozing out of pissing out of harsh ooze, which is a nice atmosphere – a welcome change, which is from being dumped directly into the battle.
Speaking of combat, NTE offers unique mechanics based on your character, such as character-specific critical Dodge Counterattacks and Parry Attacks that add a fresh layer of strategy and style to your enemy’s encounters.
Big Theft Animation
Michael-Scott's pleasing touch, Urban Exploration brings a twist on parkour, allowing players to drive a sprawling urban metropolis by sprinting, jumping and climbing crowded city streets. If all of this sounds too tired, you can choose to simply hop on the subway, chat with locals in unusual locations, or do some fun silly side-questions. If parkour isn't floating on a well-known boat, you can always follow the sky, skip ziplines to speed up the neon skyline and uncover hidden corners of the city.

Of course, without some Grand Theft Auto, it wouldn't be like the GTA. Just like in Rockstar’s flagship franchise, Hethereau’s vehicles can direct the anomaly control department by applying for gameplay (more on that later), which can allow you to take over any car peacefully if it helps you keep the city safe. However, if you step out of the line and attack fellow countrymen, you will trigger a level of wanted identification and the security office will arrest your warrant and chase you. Continuing to break the law will increase the level you want based on the severity of your crime. The more you try to escape or the more wanton damage you cause, the higher the level of said desire will be. gta vi, eat your heart.
And if that's not enough for you, you can also work with friends to try the street racing challenge, competing with crew members from various regions in high octane multiplayer races. If you want to test your driving skills, the streets of Hetherau are spread with speed and passion drivers, all the itching can put the pedals onto the metal and help you try new rides with various torque tests. Be careful in bad weather: Snow can be immersive and realistic – snowflakes blow organically in the wind, and real-time snowfall gets deeper and deeper – but rain or snow means slippery roads and you have a greater chance of spinning sharply.
In NTE, you are an exception hunter, and the core mission of the game spins around the pursuit. The story rhythm is punctuated with gorgeous cutscenes, fully embracing their anime inspiration as the twists and turns of plots are delivered with a pleasant cinematic boom.

Bitabi Paradise
Whether you're cruising the streets on a sweet new journey or climbing up the side of a building, NTE is a surprisingly diverse and feature-rich game. I was pleasantly surprised by the scope of the open world, and developer Hotta Studio promises that players will be able to choose how they shape their own destiny – but it is too early to say how those choices will eventually be eliminated.
If a year-long wait for GTA VI disappoints you, and modern Gatcha games don't do it for you, you can always go to Hethereau when NTE appears on PC, Mobile, and PlayStation 5. here.
