EA and Battlefield Studios have (finally) confirmed plans to kick off its new free-to-play Battlefield mode via social media today. one Battlefield REDSEC Official Game Trailer It's currently set to premiere tomorrow (October 28) at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET, and its description hints at a surprise launch. The news comes after months of rumors and leaks hinting that Battlefield 6's battle royale is coming.

Those who have loved Battlefield 6 since it first launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S Expect to hear news about a proper, free-to-play battle royale experience on October 10 The first season was officially announced last week. However, as the first details of EA and BF Studios' latest title come and go, there's no sign of a substantial new game mode that many expected.
It's weird, especially with the hint of Battlefield 6's battle royale game mode Leaks began as early as July 2025. This popular, last-squad experience is nothing new to the series and remains popular among shooter fans, so with Battlefield promising a return to its roots with destructible environments and gritty gameplay, giving the battle royale another try felt like a no-brainer at the time. Official updates have been quiet since then, but that hasn't stopped lab testers from getting hyped. Battle Royale Gameplay quietly launched in Septemberconfirming that content like swimming, combat, and destruction have been translated into this new experience. Battlefield 6 Season 1's battle royale game mode is almost confirmed, although news of the first major content release has not been confirmed by BF Studios. Things got really heated last Friday when modern war zone reported that The battle royale game will launch alongside Battlefield 6's first season, titled Battlefield REDSEC.
Although there's been little official word from the developer, the Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Shadow drop seems almost confirmed to be released tomorrow morning. The lab leaks date back several months, so there's no way of knowing what's included in the Battlefield REDSEC release.
