EA founder says Madden Moviemaker has no interest in him

Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins commented on the upcoming movie John Madden, the film of the same name from the EA's popular football series. Hawkins played a crucial role in signing Madden’s own character as it would be one of the longest and most profitable gaming franchises in EA. In the movie, he will be played by comedians and actors John Mulay.

Hawkins told VentureBeat The film is “so weird” because after meeting with director David O. Russell, he thought he could share some critical insights about the story – but the filmmakers obviously don't want anything to do with him.

“I thought, ‘Maybe I can help them get the historical details right.’ They have no interest in getting me involved in any way,” Hawkins said.

Almost a year after Hawkins met with Russell, he wasn't sure if the Madden movie would continue to move forward. But now that the film is back in the news cycle, with Mulaney playing Hawkins and Nicolas Cage playing Madden, Hawkins believes that the filmmakers have found the money and gained the motivation to make the film. But Hawkins said he wasn't very excited about it.

“This is not something you dreamed about when you were a child. This is not a childhood fantasy,” he said.

Hawkins said he was a fan of Russell's earlier film Silver Linings Playbook, which he said was a “very relevant, emotionally moving film” which was “really fun.”

But, Hawkins said he believes Murani will play Hawkins in the Madden Movie as a “comic relief.”

He said: “I want to be a role in the movie – the guy who plays me is a comedian, right?

Kathryn Hahn will report to play Madden's wife Virginia with Sienna Miller to play Carol, wife of late Raiders owner Al Davis, in a speech. Christian Bale will play Davis.

Production of the Madden movie is expected to begin in Atlanta in May. A release date has not been announced.

John Madden had only relatively short games in the Raiders head coach from 1969 to 1978, including seven division titles and Super Bowl titles. After retirement from coach, Madden continues to be the most famous broadcaster in the NFL and the key figure behind it. Madden NFL Video game franchise, which continues even after death in 2021.

As for the Madden video game series, the next entry is expected to be released in August. We don't know much about this, but It will feature some kind of Lowe brand development.
