But reimagines what looks to be a bigger game overhaul, which contains a stunning new Artstyle reminiscent of carved statues similar to the PS1 version of FMV Cutscenes. It also maintains a top-down view of the PS1 version. Based on what we've seen so far, the new visual style looks great for the classic characters and monster designs of the late Akira Toryiama.
Dragon Quest VII reimagining will also make significant changes to story and gameplay, according to the official website of the announcement trailer and the game. Although the exact changes to the story have not been detailed yet, Square Enix says the narrative is “redesigned to be more intense and easier for players to access”, which is no surprise, considering that the PS1 and 3DS versions are well-known large games that can easily spend more than 100 hours completing the main storyline.
In terms of the game, the reimagining keeps the original game's turn-based combat with the option to increase combat speed or turn on automatic combat. Like the 3DS version, reimagined will allow players to see monster encounters on the field, and you will automatically defeat low-level enemies without having to participate in the battle. The game will also have a redesigned class system that allows party members to select two categories at a time and adjust and update each of the various professions.
