“Digimon Adventure” Original Series Rare Black Friday Price Reduction

Digimon fans can save big on the original Digimon Adventure TV series Amazon Black Friday Sale. English Dubbed Blu-ray Version Digimon Adventure: Season 1 On sale for $48 (originally $80). “Digimon Adventure: Season 1” contains all 54 episodes of the original 1999 TV series on four Blu-ray discs. The total duration exceeds 18 hours. Like many of Discotek Media's Blu-ray releases, Digimon Adventure has been restored with a high-definition upgrade. The show is still presented in its original 1.33:1 aspect ratio (also known as 4:3), but has just been given a 1080p makeover.

A crisp DTS-HD MA 2.0 soundtrack complements the vastly improved image. It's the same highly regarded English dub that aired on the now-defunct Fox Kids channel, which means there are plenty of quirky and hilarious jokes. All episodes come with optional English closed subtitles.

Bonus features include the usual clean opening/ending, alternate versions of episode previews, episode ending cards, trailers and ads, and a gallery with hundreds of behind-the-scenes pieces of production art.

Discotek Media released a Blu-ray remaster of Digimon Adventure: Season 1 in December 2022, followed by Blu-ray original Japanese version July 2023. The Japanese version retails for $70, which is $10 less than the full price of the English version, but is currently sold out.
