Diablo Immortal Another class will be added on July 3, instead of like Blood Knight or stormBlizzard's free-to-play mobile ARPG will provide fresh insights into the franchise's Druid prototype.
This is not the Druid player Diablo 2 or Diablo 4 Probably familiar. The druids of Sharval Wild are more isolated and wild, releasing their primitive anger in their enemies, filled with the chaotic energy of nature.

When the Druid of Diablo stands out from the earlier versions, Blizzard seeks timely inspiration from the real world. There is a reason Diablo’s immortal druid version, which uses fire magic that causes wildfires and earth magic that causes earthquakes, two elements that can get out of control and cause severe damage in their surroundings.
“In a blizzard, usually not just in this team, we talk a lot about the right time, what is the right time for the area?” Ryan Quinn, senior narrative designer of Diablo Immortal, said in an interview with Gamespot. “Knowing that we're going to this wooded place, the druids and the witches fight to share the land…don't guide me too much about living in Southern California, but the wildfires seem very, very ready to create tension and conflict in this environment.”
While the class maintains many familiar aspects of the druid, fans of the previous class will be familiar – elemental spelling, abilities of deformation and animal companion – the appearance and drama of Diablo Immortal Druids will be completely different. The class emphasizes constant transitions between forms, whether it is a enemies repositioned and crowd-controlled in a new form of a stag, or a raven scattered among a horde of submersible bombs.
Quinn said Blizzard knew this new version of the druid needed to feel different. Realize that part of the goal comes in the form of the druid's new deformation ability, which goes beyond the usual waybear and werewolf forms.
“We want to do something diverse, we don’t want to just do predator form,” Quinn said. “And we want it to look and feel more confusing.”
Quinn illustrates the early days of development with an example where Druid simply transformed into a single crow. But that wasn't strong enough, so the team chose the druid and turned it into a flock of crows. This mindset can be seen throughout the Druid’s toolkit, and each ability feels like it’s already spiraled out of control.
It also translates into the gameplay of the druids. Chief systems engineer John Yoo said Blizzard’s goal is to make Diablo’s immortal druid more agile than previous versions.
“We want to encourage people to play dynamic games through abilities and disengage them from form,” Yoo said. “We want it to feel very, very active.”
Yoo says players don't have to always swap and stand out, and can successfully hit straight casters or stick to a form. While sticking to a play style would be “workable”, those who want to push the class to limits and maximize damage may want to change the form depending on the situation, Yoo said.

For fans of the older version of Diablo, there is still some reward for what fans already know. Diablo Immortal Druids can use the fire magic from Diablo 2 and have similar summoning companions like Direwolves (although Yoo says the team did try the summoned tug). Quinn said that since Diablo Immortal took place between Diablo 2 and 3, the team was always aware of the legacy before mobile ARPG. With that in mind, the snowstorm strikes a balance in making room for new ideas as it commemorates things from the past.
“Sometimes, it's a very familiar direction,” Quinn said. “Sometimes, it's just adding. Pick up the familiar, but put something new with something that doesn't contradict. Sometimes, it's the whole cloth invention.”
An example of action philosophy is the return of the druid's oak sage ability. As you can see in Diablo 2 before, Oak Sage returns to Diablo's immortality. Unless in Diablo 2, rather than a more passive aura like Diablo 2, it is slammed violently and portrayed as a friendly forest fae that promotes players' health and defense, but also attacks enemies.
“We want to push the boundaries and make our druids different from the other druids,” Yoo said. “While we want to keep the druids inherent in their themes and nature, without puns, we still want to make them unique, fresh, and immortalized in Diablo.”
Druid's addition is just a series of latest updates Diablo Immortal Roadmap 2025 Blizzard is called the age of madness, all of which continues to explore Diablo failed last year His power vacuum remains.
