Virtuos describes the loss of work as a “rebalancing of roles in our studio and geographically”, with changes that will affect 200 characters in Asia and another 70 in Europe.

Discussing its staffing changes, Virtuos said the company's focus has changed over the past 12 months after acquiring teams in North America and Europe, and now it “selectively exits the service sector with weak demand.”
“We are thanking the contributions of those affected,” Virtuos concluded. “We are providing separation packages, career transition assistance, and opportunities for redeployment in our global network as much as possible. The company’s direct focus is to manage this transition with caution, transparency and respect.”
Virtuos is headquartered in Singapore but has employed 4,200 employees in studios around the world before these latest layoffs. The company is a well-known co-development partner that has contributed to the recent blockbuster laundry list, from the legacy of Hogwarts to Call of Duty, and Horizon Zero Dawn to Mortal Kombat 1.
Player Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 is available for all platforms today and add new car, work and photo modes to CD Projekt's futuristic open world, while CD Projekt itself is busy building Cyberpunk 2.
