Guilty Gear Strive is one of the longest-running fighting games in the genre right now, with its fourth season of add-on content about to end and a new “2.0” patch coming in 2026. The last character of that fourth season is also a first for the franchise: Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners enters the fray as Guilty Gear's first-ever guest character on August 21, and we have an look at nine minutes of new gameplay featuring the mysterious Netrunner.
Lucy's main weapon is her neon whip, the Dream Festival, which she can quickly throw as a powerful combination starter. She also made a Sprint attack, a quick sweep action that links it to other actions based on the button the player successfully hits.
However, the most notable move in Lucy’s arsenal is her Quickhack Super Move. Here, she creates six unique privileged menus that change her attacks, add enthusiasts to her and even demean opponents in a short time. Each activation of QuickHack will select a limited amount of RAM for Lucy when choosing a special fee, so she can’t activate all six at a time, but after each QuickHack, she will have an advantage.
Six QuickHack Perks, along with their RAM costs and capabilities, are below:
- Contagious (Spends 3 RAM)
- Lucy's attack takes damage over time
- Energy siphoning (Cost 6 RAM)
- Lucy's attack also restored her health
- Algorithm failure (Fee 13 RAM)
- All Lucy's attacks triggered a counterattack
- Resistance fault (Spends 9 RAM)
- Opponents build RISC levels faster by blocking Lucy's attack
- The higher the RISC of the character, the more they will damage the next combination
- Opponents build RISC levels faster by blocking Lucy's attack
- appease (Spending 8 RAM)
- Opponents get less meter of tension, GG's super instrument version
- Optical suppression (Spend 3 RAM)
- Lucy becomes small and difficult to see, making opponents' actions often missed
The Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC are now available with Guilty Gear Strive. Lucy will be part of the game’s Season 4 content bundle on August 21.
