Cyberpunk 2077 Nintendo Switch 2 Comments Update

The Switch 2 may be much better than the original hardware, but I'm still surprised to see the running (not so good) on the Nintendo system is Cyberpunk 2077. I spent a few days using CD Projekt Red's latest port to feel how it works, how it works, and how it keeps it running, and how it keeps new mouse controls new, when applying it to advanced fps for a PlayPlice aPlice aPlice aPlice for a Ply-sigh-&coctane fps fps fps fps fps fps fps. The answer overall is impressive, and if you haven't explored the fun of night markets before, this seems like a solid approach.
But first, let's review what I said in my commentary on the first launch of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020.
Of course, this only works on the PC version, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are a notorious mess we had to go back and do it A separate comment Once we got a much lower score at the time of posting. (Don't forget we also reviewed its excellent Phantom Liberty DLC In 2023, Switch 2 version is included. Thankfully, the Switch 2 port is nowhere near the disaster of the old console generation – in fact, it's excellent.
Cyberpunk 2077 looks great on Nintendo Switch 2
Just a quick look at the Cyberpunk 2077 still looks great on Nintendo's new console. The unique neon lights and dirty streets of Night City live here, and here, even if they aren't as clear and clean as you'll find on your PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X. This is not the “deterministic” way to play this game, but from a practical point of view, it's enough. This is not like Switch the port 3 of the Wizard 3which feels like the last way to “I think we can do this function” more than anything else.
The frame is good, but not jawbone
You can view relevant technical specifications in our stories CD Projekt How to manage to get Cyberpunk 2077 running on switch 2 – In short, it runs at 1080p when docking, handheld 1080p or 720p, depending on whether you are in quality or performance mode and it works at 40fps. Your mileage may vary because despite my PC gaming background, I'm not a huge performance snob, and I don't have a problem with less than 60fps. So, in my opinion, the Cyberpunk 2077 works well in docking mode, even if it is far from perfect. Its parts have some drop-out frames and are not as smooth as buttery as the Switch 2 version The tears of the kingdom or wildbut nothing can distract, that in this case it will actively harm my time. If you can't stand anything below solid 60fps, then this may be something you need to skip – anyone used to playing games on the original switch should be comfortable enough here.
Switching 2 mouse controls works very well
For me, one of the biggest draws of the Switch 2 is that it can mimic mouse controls with a sideways Joy-Con, which may give you more accuracy in first-person games like this. I'm happy to say that it does, as it's very easy for me to jump from PC to this control option and there are a lot more headshots than regular game boards. It's not the same level as a high DPS gaming mouse or anything else, but whenever I sit down to do this, it's definitely my go-to way to play this game, which is a huge win. that is…
Joey – Con mouse is not very long
You will see that the problem with the Switch 2's mouse mode is actually not the quality of the mouse control itself, but the physical feeling of using it. The joy control is small compared to the normal mouse, and my hands try to grab it after a long game, even if I Used 3D printed shell Make it feel better. That's because you have nowhere to comfortably place your thumb while you're jumping between battles, conversations, and menu management while still being able to press the correct stick, Y button and a button. So while the mouse is better than I expected, I'm worried that this awkward grip will prevent me from using it in the future.
Cyberpunk 2077's exercise assistance options are not good
That is, mouse controls are at least much better than using actions to shortcut certain actions. The aiming method with the right stick is usually the aiming method with the motion controls, then fine-tuned in something like Zelda, and the work is the same here, but other than that, the motion assist options are useless. You can use melee weapons in a way that makes me flashbacks to early Wii games, or twist and flail-wind to perform actions like reloading or healing, but doing so almost always makes my camera sway at the same time. This may hurt my hands, but I mouse control it every day.
This is still a great RPG worth playing
Finally, revisiting Night City reminds me of the greatness of this game, especially after all the improvements after the launch. The world is moody, dangerous and it does a great job of putting you in and instantly feeling like a part of the culture. I also maintain it to have better mission conversations than any RPG I've ever seen, making simple chat quality cinematic without taking you out of the driver's seat. If you've never played Cyberpunk 2077, I can definitely recommend checking it out here.
