Creepshow 2 4K Limited Edition includes comics based on Stephen King's story

Horror comedy anthology Creepshow 2 is finally released on 4K Blu-ray, and fans of the 1987 movie can save their reservations. On Amazon Creepshow 2's 4K Limited Edition Before launching on September 30, the discount will be $38 ($50). The limited edition of Creepshow 2 recovers 4K in 4K and is bundled with several collections, including the comic-adapted unpublished Stephen King story and cut from the movie.

Only the first print includes a comic bookbook, so if you are interested, you need to book. The first print of the 2016 Blu-ray release was also tied to the comics, but it sold out a few years ago.

While you wait for the 4K Blu-ray version of Creepshow 2 to arrive, you should check out the original 1982 anthology on 4K Blu-ray. Creepshow's limited edition Steelbook Snap it on Amazon for $27.79.

The limited edition of the Creepshow 2 is a negative 4K recovery from the original camera, with its HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10) and three audio formats: 5.1 DTS-HD, Stereo and lossless Monaural.

Arrow Video originally created a 2K repair technique, which is Creepshow 2: Special Edition, released in 2016 on 1080p Blu-ray. The launch special features of the 4K distribution largely map special editions. Mike Saputo's reversible sleeves and cover art also matches the 2016 release.

Just like the first print of the 1080p Blu-ray, the 4K version includes two limited edition manuals. These are no longer included in standard Blu-ray and are limited to 3,000 units, but now you have another chance. For reference, the first print has a red sleeve, but after it is sold out, it may switch to a blue sleeve like the Blu-ray Edition.

Most notably, you will get a brochure and adapted from the comic “pinfall”, one of two stories cut from the movie. The story was written by Stephen King and adapted into a script by George Romero. Jason Mayoh adapted the story into a 2016 Blu-ray release comic. Together with the comic bookbook, you will get an illustration booklet with a review by Michael Blyth.

“Pinfall” has never been done as a short story or filmed, so it's the only way to experience one of Stephen King's unpublished stories.

Although you can watch Creepshow 2 without the original, the 1982 anthology is a more comprehensive horror comedy story, so skipping it doesn't really make sense. Plus, it's already available on 4K Blu-ray. one Collection Edition Released in 2023, great Steelbook Edition The above shows that it arrived in time last year's Halloween. The limited edition Steelbook costs $27.89 ($40), just two dollars more than the collector’s version.

Both versions include 4K Blu-ray and standard 1080p Blu-ray and the same special features. The movie is remade in 4K using the original camera negative treatment and supports HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10), Dolby Atmos Audio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0. Creepshow and its numerous follow-ups combine horror and comedy while paying tribute to classic comics The story of the basement and The trouble of fear. The 1982 original directed by George Romero is an anthology film with five different little episodes. The story includes a murdered man who has been resurrected from the dead, a mysterious meteor landing on a remote farm, and a army of cockroaches hunting people with insect phobia.

Stephen King made his screenwriter debut with Creepshow, and two of these five stories were adapted from his short stories. Creepshow's influence on the sleeves of comics, King adapts the movie into a graphic novel The movie premiered in the same year.

The script for Creepshow 2 is written by Romero and directed by Michael Gornick, the photographer of the original film. Although initially planned to map its predecessor with five vignettes, only three brought it into the film: “Old Wood Enhead”, “Rail” and “Hitchhiker”. These three are based on the King's short stories, but “Raft” is the only article published and collected in the author's announced collection. Skeleton crew.

“Cat from Hell,” another king story cut from Creepshow 2 was later included in The Dark Story: MovieThis is a 1990 spin-off of the TV series Romero created in 1983. Given the timing, it’s no surprise that the story of Darkside (also a horror comedy episode) exists because Creepshow performed well at the box office last year.

In addition to the collector's edition, the two anthology movies can also be made on standard Blu-ray for about $10. Technically, the Creepshow franchise has three movie anthology, but Video Creepshow 3, which arrived straight in 2006, was a movie that many fans simply wanted to forget (which was awful).

Thankfully, Creepshow 3 isn't the end of the on-screen franchise. In 2019, Shudder made his debut in the Creepshow Anthology series, which effectively captures the original tone. The series has aired 25 episodes in four seasons, ending in 2023. Each episode contains a pair of small episodes, each episode is about 20-25 minutes. all Four seasons of creep can be used on blue light. Amazon is cheap.

Shudder's collection also led to a revival of Creepshow in printing. So far, Skybound and Image Comics Hav has published three comics. Each volume contains five very different comics written by a group of spinning big names in the industry, including Garth Ennis and Joe Hill, the eldest son of Stephen King. As a kid, Hill appeared in the prelude and conclusion of the original Crawling Movie, and more than 40 years later, he wrote an official Creepshow comics call Joe Hill's Wolverton site.

Volume 4 is scheduled to begin in September. If you want to catch up with the anthology series, the first three volumes can be purchased in the trade paperback for $15 (or less). Volume 3 Published in April. Last November, Image Comics released a hardcover luxury edition that compiled the first two books. Amazon has $24 ($40) for Creepshow Deluxe Editionwhich is almost exactly the same as the sum of the two paperbacks.
