'Crash Bandicoot' animated TV series may be coming to Netflix – report

Next year will mark the 30th anniversary of the original work Crash Bandicoothowever, the anthropomorphic creature hasn't had any TV shows or movie adaptations of its own in the past three decades. However, a new report suggests that Crash Bandicoot may eventually get a TV series on Netflix.
according to What shows are on NetflixThe Crash Bandicoot animated series is being developed by WildBrain Studios. The report doesn't name any members of the creative team behind the show, but WildBrain does have history in the video game genre. This is the studio behind Sonic Prime and Carmen Sandiego. The studio's other credits include “Johnny Test,” “Go Dog Go,” “The Snoopy Show,” “Fireman Sam” and “Polly Pocket.”
Netflix currently has a number of video game-related shows streaming, including Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, both versions of Castlevania, Devil May Cryand the recently premiered Splinter Cell: Death Watch. Netflix is also developing Live-action “Assassin's Creed” series.
The original Crash Bandicoot game was developed by Naughty Dog and published on PlayStation 1. Over the years, the rights to Crash Bandicoot have been transferred to Universal Interactive and are currently owned by Activision. The latest game in the series is Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Timewhich was published in 2020. Last year, a Toys for Bob concept artist said Crash Bandicoot 5 canceled in the development process.
Earlier this year, Shuji Utsumi, a former Sony executive and current CEO of Sega of America, revealed that Hollywood Rejected publisher's pitch for Crash Bandicoot movie. Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann throws out His support for the Crash Bandicoot movieBut he also noted that this is Microsoft's decision now since the video game giant acquired Activision Blizzard.
