Capcom launches Resident Evil Requiem Switch 2 Pro controller, the first Resident Evil Amiibo, and RE7, RE8, RE Requiem first-generation packages to support Nintendo Switch 2

Capcom is going all out Resident Evil Requiem The Nintendo Switch 2 has seen a number of exclusive announcements for the console.
The first is the Resident Evil Requiem-themed Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller, which Nintendo will release alongside the game on February 27, 2026. This is the first Switch 2 game to have its own Pro controller.
Next up is the Resident Evil Generation Pack, launching for Nintendo Switch 2, which includes:
- Resident Evil Requiem
- Resident Evil 7 Resident Evil Gold Edition
- Resident Evil Village Gold Edition
Finally, the first Resident Evil amiibo is coming in the form of the game's playable character Grace Ashcroft. The game will launch in summer 2026. Of course, fans are wondering if a Leon amiibo is also in the works, given speculation that Leon is also a playable character in Resident Evil Requiem.
Today is a big day for the release of Resident Evil Requiem. Pre-orders are now live and we've confirmed the in-game bonuses for the Deluxe Edition.
As we said, There's been a lot of speculation about Leon's role alongside Grace in Resident Evil Requiembut there was no official mention of Leon in today's announcement. We did get a new Road to Requiem overview trailer, which can be seen below, including a brief snippet of the trailer.
