For some, it may be the winter of discontent Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 player. Activision has been mum on the game's sales and has yet to reveal more information. Share metrics or statistics. Fan outrage has also increased over conspiracy issues related to the game's skill-based matchmaking mode. This prompted Charlie Olson (creator of CoD's SBMM) to directly address some of these issues himself.
OIson, who worked at Activision-owned Raven Software for ten years, shared a lengthy video about him Youtube Channel that goes into depth on how his SBMM is supposed to work. He also took the time to explain why Activision's announcement of bringing “open matchmaking” to Black Ops 7 doesn't mean the game will abandon SBMM. If fans are expecting a chance to knock out inexperienced or casual players, they will be disappointed. Olson believes this means the sport has been dominated by “sweats,” or experienced players, rather than rookie players.
“Some players left because they thought the tweet meant SBMM had been removed from the game entirely, and then they felt betrayed by the inclusion of a standard matchmaking playlist and then accused it of stealing 'material' from the open playlist,” Olson explained. “What's really going on here is that there aren't enough casual players at launch to make open matchmaking an expected or committed bar. If the open lobby is sweaty, that's because it's mostly about sweating.”
He added that casual players will stick with their favorite modes, and suggested players try turning on a TDM playlist “if you're looking for a noob to stomp on.”
Olson went on to say that “sweaty” open lobbies, longer wait times, and downgraded connections “are just trade-offs in order to restore long-lasting lobbies, assuming they don't want to starve low-popularity playlists.” He also predicted that players of the game will “become more sweaty,” and he believes the game will reflect XDefiant's pitted numbers. Olson even suggested that Activision Blizzard might switch to a two-year model for Call of Duty instead of rushing out a new game every year.
black ops 7 Received a small update This week’s “Endgame” content also adds disconnection protection. Activision Blizzard announced BlackCell DLC Coming soon in Season 1. It may need a push because “Black Ops 7” physical sales decline for international releasethough it remains to be seen how Game Pass will impact that. indeed possible Battlefield 6 may become One of the few shooters to outsell Call of Duty over the past twenty years. It's too early to tell whether this will actually happen.
