Borderlands 4 match status April 2025: Everything announced

The gearbox software has just ended Border 4 Status, reveal 20 minutes of new game and details From the highly anticipated robbery shooter.
The presentation jumped into action and promised that the 2025 Borders entrance is the studio's best, most rooted outing, promising major game changes, from new traversal capabilities to robbery and fall formula changes. Gearbox managed to fill the 20-minute showcase and reveal how Borderlands 4 uses new mechanics and refreshes existing features, and we have all the highlights here.
Athletic ability
Each border title updates its traversal mechanism in a new way, and Borderlands 4 doesn't look any different either. We've seen some hints of new loot shooting tools that players will be able to use when the release date rolls around September this year, but today's game video gives us a clearer look at what's going to happen.
This time, the vault hunter can take advantage of a very fateful hover, allowing players to shoot freely when airborne or reach a distant ledge. There is also a hook hook for combat and exploration, as well as a dash for those last second Dodges. Of course, the vehicle is still a major component of the Borderlands 4, and this time, it seems we are free to spawn our rides, including the new Digirunner, wherever we are.
Guns and manufacturers
We've got the taste of new vault hunter traversal mechanics in previous exhibitions, but today's game state does make gun manufacturers pay attention. There are eight companies offering players’ adventures this time, meaning three new companies – Order, Ripper and Daedalus – will lag behind some of the new toys from the Borderlands 4.
Like other return manufacturers, each newcomer has unique weapon design and capabilities. Borderlands 4 takes things one step further by introducing a new spin on its existing gun mechanism: the licensed parts system. Now, guns can be made up of various parts from different manufacturers, meaning you can find an assault rifle of element components developed by Maliwan, ammo clips made by Torgue, and a shield from Hyperion. The taller rare weapons come with more parts, making the pursuit of great loot more important than ever.

The Borderlands 4 match follows two vault hunters: sirens and a former Tediore soldier in a coat called Rafa. Previous playable characters used sirens to summon creatures to help in combat, while the latter built tools such as the Ark Knife to tear the enemies apart at any time. Today’s gameplay sees the cold, open arena duo throughout the Terminus series, one of four areas explored on the planet Kairos.
Borderlands 4 will follow the trend of the series, which is to rush toward old faces while introducing new faces. Some familiar names that appear in today's game include Moxxi, Zane, Amara, and of course Claptrap, although there are some hints we might also learn more about Lilith. The new characters include a towering armored individual named Rush and a useful robot, Echo 4. The convenient robot companion will follow players during Borderlands 4 and explore through scanning environments, hack and lead the lost vault hunter to their next goal.
Multiplayer Game
Borderlands 4 players are happy to hear that Gearbox is trying to simplify the collaboration process this time. Apart from what it calls the “improved lobby system”, a temporary notification with friends should be easier. CrossPlay will also be available on startup, all loot from each player can be made, and dynamic level expansion means you will be free with friends on any platform.
With Gearbox already implementing a feature that allows everyone to separate the difficulty of each other, customization at your party will take it a step further. Making the journey with friends easier is Split Screen Couch Co-Op, a co-op that will be available at launch and will allow players to quickly get to their friends if someone gets lost.
Borderlands 4 also has lower legendary loot drops, dense new skill trees opportunities, and more. Rep Kit Gear will have players choosing between Quick Revival and temporary combat enthusiasts, while the strumming weapons allow fans to choose to fill cooled weapon slots with grenades or unique heavy weapons. There are also enhancements that replace artifacts, which facilitate the gift of bonuses to guns from specific manufacturers.
Borderlands 4 Recent Move up PC | S released on the Epic Games store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X| are available from September 23 to September 12. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will also be released at points that are not specified later this year.
Despite fans' speculation, transmission owner Randy Pitchford said the scheduled swing Nothing to do with the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 of Take-Two Interactive. Hope to learn more about Borderlands 4 while awaiting Gearbox to reveal its upcoming hands-on game event in June.
