The world of Avatar: The Last Airbender is a rich fantasy setting, and the TV series has only scratched the surface. While the upcoming Avatar: Seven Sanctuary will take place long after the events of The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra and feature a new incarnation of the Avatar, the lives of previous Avatars have already been detailed in the ongoing Avatar Chronicles book series. The books in the series feature Kyoshi of the Earth Kingdom and Yangchen of the Air Nomads, giving fans a glimpse into the adventures of these previous Avatars and the early days of the series' unique fantasy world.

The Avatar Chronicles 4-book set includes hardcover editions of the first four books in the series, all with removable dust jackets and hand-painted cover art. Here are the four novels included in the set:

The first two books in the series tell the story of Avatar Kyoshi, who appears several times in his spirit form in the animated show The Last Airbender. The Rise of Kiyoshi and Shadow of Kyoshi delves into her origins, detailing her rise as one of the most famous incarnations in history. The second pair of books, Dawn of Yangchen and Legacy of Yangchen, focus on Yangchen, the Air Nomad, the Avatar, who predates Kyoshi by two cycles.

All four novels come in a slipcase for easy storage and organization on your bookshelf. The collection also includes a unique character poster showcasing each book's cover art

The fifth book in the Avatar Chronicles series, Roku's Reckoning, is not included in this set, but The hardcover version is now available $11 at Amazon (originally $22). The sixth book, Roku's Awakeningreleases on December 30 and is available for pre-order on Amazon for $22. It's worth noting that the books are written by Randy Ribay this time, not FC Yee. While we've seen snippets of Avatar Roku's past in the animated show, these new hardcover books will delve deeper into his time as the Avatar and his relationship with Fire Lord Sozin.

The Avatar Chronicles series is just one of many books and graphic novels released since the animated show ended in 2008. Dark Horse Comics published most of them, including the popular graphic novel promise and searchwhich is the continuation of Aang’s story.
