Bethesda breaks silence about the future Starfieldinsisting it is still being updated and will share details about the “exciting things” planned for the coming months.

Starfield players have been dissatisfied with the future of the game in Bethesda's communication level for some time. The show that didn't appear on the Xbox Games showcase in June, this is some of the last straw.

The Starfield community hopes Bethesda will announce something about the game on the show, but Starfield completely skips the proceedings despite both the Elder Scrolls and Fallout 76 being in the spotlight. No DLC, no extensions, no PlayStation 5 version… nothing.

Now, Bethesda Statement on Steam This is short, but at least addresses Starfield's future and promises more is being done.

“Looking forward, we will continue to work on future updates and will share more information about the exciting things we plan to plan for Starfield,” Bethesda said in a post accompanying Starfield Update 1.15.222. Patch description is below.

Starfield players hope this means the promised second-star expansion is still coming, and Starfield may follow the likes of Forza Horizon 5 and jump to PlayStation 5.

Starfield was a brand new IP in September 2023 as Bethesda's first 25 years, but it's not as well received as the studio's previous games in the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series and the release of Space Explanation after September 2024, with “mostly negative” user reviews that are “mostly negative” user reviews.

Starfield continues to attract 15 million players, but the question of whether Bethesda may leave the game to focus on other franchises has been a running theme since its release. June 2024, Bethesda insists it remains committed to supporting Starfieldand confirm that at least other stories will be released after the broken space. In an interview YouTube channel mrmattyplaysTodd Howard of Bethesda Game Studios said the developer’s goal is to release the annual story extension to “hope for a long time.”

Bethesda was severely affected by Microsoft's latest round of layoffs, with cuts from its London office and Zenimax Online Studios. Its unannounced MMORPG was cancelled and its senior studio head resigned.

• Slight improvements to formatting and display in the Creation menu.
• Addressed an issue that could cause errors in extreme temperature gears.
• Make minor improvements to classification in the Tasks menu.
• General crash and stability fix.

This update is currently in Steam Beta. If you want to choose to enter Starfield Beta update, follow these instructions:

• Open your Steam Library and navigate to Starfield
• Right-click on Starfield and select Properties
• In the new properties pop-up window, select “beta”
• In the beta drop-down list, select “(beta)”
• Wait for the application to download the new build and start
