Battlefield 6’s first DLC map received poor response

Season 1 Battlefield 6 Available today, including the game's first battle passnew arms Unlocked, brand new blackwell venue map. Unfortunately, Blackwell Field is a large area with plenty of open space, leading to player complaints about the map.

Blackwell Field is set in a huge oil field in California, with plenty of open space for snipers and long-range combat. The map offers structures like oil wells, construction equipment, and small patches of cover, but it doesn't feel like enough to satisfy all play styles. Close-range tactics are difficult to use here, and trying to capture points can feel overwhelming.

It is reported Square border-7525 On Reddit, it appears players were also killed by the map's anti-aircraft guns at the headquarters.

Unfortunately, Blackwell Battlefield also features extensive fire and haze effects, making long-range combat visibility poor. It's difficult to see the threat clearly unless you spot all the sniper flashes coming from the off-hill portion of the map.

Many players were upset and shared screenshots showing the poor visibility of the map. BSoD on Twitter Share an image of the map and ask: “Can you see the four players crouching on this hill? No, I can't see it either.”

Of course, not everyone will hate Blackwell Fields. Despite the low visibility, there seem to be a lot of players sniping on this map. It also provides ample room for tanks and other vehicles to dominate.

The developers have yet to comment on the map's poor reception, but it still has potential if updates can be made to add more coverage and improve visibility.
