EA and Battlefield Studios release patch notes for update 1.1.1.5 Battlefield 6 and Red Crossbrought various quality-of-life changes to weapons and vehicles, and finally fixed glitches with the Sledgehammer recon drone.
The team behind last month's new Battlefield game detailed everything coming in the new update in the patch notes Post to social media today. Ahead of the launch of Update 1.1.1.5 for Battlefield 6 and REDSEC tomorrow (November 11) at 1am PT/4am ET, it provides full details on adjustments related to weapon accuracy, vehicle countermeasures, and other bug fixes.
The most significant change is a fix for one of the most notorious bugs since Battlefield 6's launch: drone glitches. For starters, players have discovered that standing on top of a friendly XFGM-6D reconnaissance drone and hitting it with a sledgehammer will cause the device to fly upwards. For those looking to add a bit of comedy to their matches, it starts out as a silly activity but quickly evolves into an annoying way to exploit it, as players eventually learn that it can be used to reach otherwise unreachable vantage points.
Battlefield 6's Sledgehammer drone glitch will finally be fixed tomorrow, but that's far from the only change. The 1.1.1.5 update will also bring some adjustments to how vehicles operate. Both ground and air vehicle users will be pleased to know that glitches affecting the use of countermeasures such as flares have been fixed, which should result in more reliable protection against lock-on guided missiles. Bugs related to incorrect vehicle generation in Breakout and Conquest will also be fixed in tomorrow's update.
In addition to general fixes to battle royale match flow and progression, audio, and UI, infantry will notice less scatter when aiming after sprinting. It, along with other fixes related to player movement and shooting, should make players feel more accurate when moving.
