Battlefield 6 is out in 2 days, all fans can talk about the open and closed weapons debate

A long wait Battlefield 6 It's almost over, but that doesn't stop fans from arguing whether multiplayer is better in open weapons classes.
Four teams of EA and Battlefield Studios will relax their new work in the large military shooter series on Friday, October 10, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X and S (Find out when, here). Apart from a new campaign, guns, gadgets and maps, the developers behind Battlefield 6 have told fans that they are looking forward to returning to form after Battlefield 2042’s disappointment.
Beta and Battlefield Lab players are basically excited about Battlefield 6’s commitment, but the debate surrounding open and closed weapons is just two days’ launch range in the minds of fans.
The conversation begins when players start hands-on in the August Battlefield 6 beta test. Although many past battleground games have adopted closed weapons (this design decision to lock the courses on specific guns, many are surprised to see new battleground games add and prioritize open weapons options, which largely eliminates gun restrictions between classes.
This open style is similar to the system used in Battlefield 2042, but it is not bad taste in the player's mouth that makes them quarrel. Closed Weapon Defenders believe that these restrictions will encourage players to think not only under their feet, but also rely on teamwork, a key element for long-time fans of the series. The system can also pour cold water onto the metagame strategy, which can cause unbalanced players to rely on a particularly powerful gun.
Those who feel open to the other side of the fence provide players of all skill levels with greater freedom to create loads that fit their play style while rewarding those who choose a specific load. Although perhaps not that sound, there are many players who feel the burden of openness is the way to go – BF Studios agrees.
Battlefield Studio says players like open weapons
The debate continued until earlier this week, when BF Studios provided Pre-issuance failure of its Battlefield 6 launch day planpreview its first day of content for those looking forward to in-game changes after post-beta feedback. Its confirmation with confirmation is that after trying two options between different playlists, the data points to “the vast majority of players” prefer open systems than closed systems.
“This intensifies our belief that open weapons is the right way to Battlefield 6,” BF Studios' message said. “At the same time, we recognize that some players prefer a closed weapon experience. To support them, an official closed weapon playlist will be available at launch.”
No matter how loud a fan of the closed method is, BF Studios is convinced that most players will tend to open the system, even if Battlefield 6 will continue to support both options. Meanwhile, many people only use this latest update as fuel to continue their missions in the hopes of seeing this week’s new battlefield game shift its focus to a closed system.
Their argument revolves around the idea that open beta players only support open weapons, as the relevant playlist options are the first to appear on the Battlefield 6 Multiplayer menu screen. So the idea is that if your average player, someone who is not familiar with the discourse, starts the game, they need to mine closed options, which leads to data skew.
Many tend to be criticism that EA and BF Studios have stepped in to step on. Dice David Sirland's main battlefield producer Enter X/Twitter Explain how the team draws conclusions. He talked about the argument that the closed playlist option is hidden from players, reminding the unhappy fans of the playlist and pattern tiles that often move around, their data for that.
“Yes, they probably have noticed a lot,” Sirland Response Seek clarification from fans. “We did this for all the tiles, (conquer) and (breakthrough), etc. See the impact rate of tile placement, and how different a single mode vs. playlists for multiple modes, etc.”
Sirland's explanation still doesn't completely eliminate the uproar, as one-third of the Battlefield 6 community needs more answers, and another one-third more than ever expressed support for public playlists. The last third mainly hopes that the battle will end.
Cruel truth:
Casual does not care about closed weapons. Or turn on the weapon. Even what weapons they use most of their time.
They just want to play the battlefield 👍 https://t.co/3x2cqyxgxl

Prepare for launch
As BF Studios and EA Barrel are launching towards Battlefield 6, disgruntled fans continue to post comment sections on social media, asking developers to give closed playlists more time in the spotlight. In this case, complaints and memes are excited, especially Reddit drowns out Reddit, and many users' replies called Debaters just a few voices.
“I would be surprised if the open weapons debate represents more than 10% of the players,” he said. Popular comments say. “I think 10% is very generous lol,” another answer.

We asked about the effect of Ripple, what it feels like to debate around open weapons During the interview last month. At the time, senior console combat designer Matthew Nickerson said the team didn’t want to “make a decision or a real pigeon loft” how players experience Battlefield 6.
“I think it's going on, I think it's going to evolve, but from the design side, we don't want to make decisions for the player group at the end of the day,” Nixon added. “We want to support the move forward at the same time, and the key mantra of Battlefield 6 is, 'Play Stanterfield the way you want, so we make sure we support open and closed systems. We just don't want to make decisions for players.”
It is not clear whether EA and BF Studios have any plans to further resolve the closed weapons debate before launching Battlefield 6. With the recent confirmation reaffirming its commitment to an open system while reassuring players that closed options will remain available, it seems unlikely that BF Studios will soon change course.
