Battlefield 6 It has a great reputation on Steam, with over 740,000 simultaneous players.
As of the time of this article's publication, Battlefield 6 has 747,440 concurrent players on Steam. That's enough to make EA's new first-person shooter the second most played game on Valve's platform, behind only Counter-Strike 2. Battlefield 6 has become the 14th most played game of all time on Steam, with Larian's Baldur's Gate 3 also in its sights.
For context, Battlefield 6's public beta peaked at 521,079 concurrent players. No other Battlefield game on Steam has come close to these numbers before. In fact, Battlefield 6 already has more players than EA's previous Steam record holder, free-to-play Apex Legends, which makes the achievement of the $70 Battlefield 6 all the more impressive.
In case you were wondering, the highest concurrent player count on Steam for the Call of Duty app, which includes all Call of Duty games, is 491,670, which means Battlefield 6 is about to double the record set by its FPS rivals.
When you consider players on PlayStation and Xbox, the true number of concurrent players is much higher, but neither Sony nor Microsoft has made those numbers public. (This of course also applies to Call of Duty, which has historically been stronger on consoles than PC.) Perhaps inevitably, Battlefield 6 players face server queuing issuesalthough logging in doesn't take too long now. Of course, it's still early days, but it looks like Battlefield 6 will be a smash hit for EA.
“Battlefield 6” already has a huge number of players, and it already has a “Call of Duty” map, An eager fan recreates Modern Warfare's most popular transport in Portal.
