this Battlefield 6 The teams at EA and Battlefield Studios are reducing the ticket size for the Conquest multiplayer mode, but players aren't convinced the changes will improve the pace of play.
Conquest match structure update has arrived Official post From the Battlefield Comms X/Twitter account. It details the overall changes to each Conquest map in Battlefield 6, as the developers aim to ensure matches “end at a more natural pace.”
To achieve this goal, BF Studios said it has reduced the number of tickets (which essentially represent each team's available reinforcements) from 1,000 tickets to a goal of only one ticket per map. These tickets range from 900 tickets on maps like Siege of Cairo and Empire State to 700 tickets on maps like Miraak Valley and Operation Firestorm. You can see the full breakdown below.
New Conquest Ticket Sizes in Battlefield 6
- Cairo siege increased from 1,000 to 900
- Empire State Building from 1000 to 900
- Iberian Offensive strength increased from 1000 to 900
- Jiefang Peak 1000 to 800
- Manhattan Bridge from 1000 to 800
- Operation Firestorm from 1000 to 700
- New Sobek City from 1000 to 900
- Milak Valley from 1000 to 700
“Previously, many rounds were reaching time limits rather than ending when one team ran out of tickets,” the post explained. “We will continue to monitor feedback and data to ensure the flow feels right for each game.”
BF Studios says its goal is to have matches play at a more natural pace, but players aren't convinced that reducing ticket requirements is what Battlefield 6 needs. In fact, many now say they were happy to attend the 1,000-ticket game and relished the pressure of a last-minute comeback. For many, the real hindrance to the pace is not the timer running out due to the overwhelming demand for tickets, but the timer itself.
Why is there a time limit? Are there any issues with long gaming sessions? I swear Conquest games were 30-40 minutes long back in the day

“The easier solution is to remove the time limit,” content creator @MoiDawg replied. “Close games are unbelievable, and this artificial time limit ruins comebacks. Let's play Conquest. I'm not going into a Conquest game thinking it's going to be over in 20 minutes. Huge L.”
Other Battlefield 6 fans agree, and many have suggested simply increasing the timer or removing it entirely in replies to the post. Some are surprised by any changes, explaining that even after conquering dozens of hours of gameplay, they've yet to see a game hit the time limit. Some people reported experiencing matches that exceeded the time limit, but even they believed that a slightly longer match could completely resolve the issue.
“Can't the timer be extended for another 10 minutes?” Reddit user advice.
“God forbid a conquest match lasts longer than 15 minutes,” said another. XReplyAdd.
Meanwhile, BF Studios has also joined the a separate post The cross-border timer for vehicles in Conquest and Upgrades on the Manhattan Bridge map in Battlefield 6 has been increased from 5 seconds to 10 seconds. While the community seems to have embraced the change with open arms, the announcement post itself has received more calls for the new Conquest ticket changes to be reinstated.
Currently, players loading up a Battlefield 6 Conquest match can expect matches to last an average of 20 minutes, but matches have been known to last anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. Today's patch has gone into effect, so it's unclear if BF Studios and EA have any plans to roll back these changes.
