Devolver Digital wants to talk about balls. First, Ball X Pit just hit a new sales milestone, selling 1 million copies. But that's not all: Developer Kenny Sun is working on a brand new ball for the action roguelite game, with three free updates coming next year.

The first new content planned for Ball X Pit will be released in January with the Regal update. The Shadow update is scheduled to launch in April, and the Naturalist update is scheduled to launch in July. Devolver Digital says each free major patch will include new balls, evolutions, and characters. The game's new trailer (shown below) teases the upcoming update.

late October, Ball X Pit has sold 400,000 copiesmeaning the game's sales have more than doubled in the past six weeks. Sales data comes from copies sold on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Ball X Pit is also available on Xbox Game Passbut subscription services don't count in traditional sales figures.

In Ball X Pit, players can utilize and fuse more than 60 balls to defeat enemies in auto-scrolling levels. Think of it as a remake of the classic Brick Breaker game, Inject vampire survivors and Loop Heroes. Additionally, when not crushing bad guys with the ball, players will be working on rebuilding a town called New Babylon.
