The cast of Baldur's Gate 3 has been critically acclaimed since the game's release, from Neil Newbon's award-winning role as Astarion to Tim Downie's paddington bear fame) as gale. But what would the characters (no, not the actors) do if they went to audition? different A character in the game? We thought it sounded like a good idea, so we gathered together some fan-favorite actors and had them, possibly under duress, audition for new roles.
“I'm Gale from Waterdeep, and I'm going to be reading for the character of Rye… Raizel,” Downey said. “I still smell their blood on you! I smell your sweat!” Given that Gale is so polite and a cat dad, it's hard to imagine him possessing Lazer's bloodlust, let alone her sexual prowess. That being said, we really wanted a full game, and that's exactly what we got.
Meanwhile, Neil Newbon's Astarion is reading for the character of Shadowheart, and Jennifer English stands over him, physically forcing him to his knees: Kneel Newbon. Astario doesn't seem too happy about the situation.
“I'm auditioning for the role of Shadowheart, without any coercion… of my own free… free will,” he said, looking up at English to make sure he wasn't doing anything wrong.
One of the best is Weill actor Theo Solomon as Minsk – a ranger who, if he were a cat, would definitely be orange.
“No, boo! Druid didn't beat Minsk in the arm wrestling match! It wasn't a fair game!” Solomon said. “And he turned into an owlbear halfway through, with grease on the stump!”
Shhh Of course it’s Minsk’s “miniature giant space hamster” really Not just any hamster that gets replaced every few years when the last one dies.
Jennifer English's performance as Astarion and his watchable “all the concentrated power of the sun” line – which may have been a Megamind Easter egg – may have been our favorite line reading. Shadowheart isn't a vampire and has far less fear of the sun itself, so her recast as Astarion might make the game a little easier!
Baldur's Gate 3 is GameSpot 2023 GOTY. Larian Studios reveals it won't be making sequel, but IP owner Hasbro has said it won't Big plans for future Dungeons & Dragons games.
