Atari snaps up 5 dormant Ubisoft franchises, saying they will be reissued on new platforms

Atari has acquired five major dormant franchises from developer/publisher Ubisoft: Children of Eden,,,,, Cold fear,,,,, Grow up and go home,,,,, grow upand I'm alive.
Atari said it will “reintroduce iconic creations, bring them to new platforms and update publishing frameworks”. They will all be reissued under Atari’s own publishing tag and will be available “on the new platform.”
“Millions of players have experienced these worlds over the years, and it will open the door for long-term players to revisit these memories, and it will open the door for them to discover them for the first time,” said Deborah Papiernik, Ubisoft's vice president of new business.
“Atari has a rich gaming legacy and deep appreciation for these classic games, and we’re excited to see how they develop and connect with players in a fresh, meaningful way.”
Of course, this is not the first time Ubisoft has established a strategic partnership this year. Back to March, Ubisoft creates a subsidiary based on six brands of Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Tom Clancy's Rainbowan investment of 1.16 billion euros (about 1.25 billion US dollars) from Chinese giant Tencent.
The company also works with Saudi Arabia's public investment funds Other Assassin's Creed Phantom Content.
