Arrowhead CEO responds to Helldivers movie director's call to play the game at least once

Arrow will likely face this concern before fans see a trailer for the Helldiver movie or hear Lin himself speaking about his vision for the film. Helldivers isn't the only one taking this approach. Amazon’s adaptation of God of War It's helmed by Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica's Ronald D. Moore, who's also not a gamer.

But that's in stark contrast to the situation with the Elden Ring movie, which is being directed by Alex Garland, the director of “Ex Machina” and “Civil War” and a self-confessed “Elden Ring” superfan. June, Garland Tells IGN he's finished playing FromSoftware's epic fantasy RPG for the seventh timeand revealed the boss he finds most difficult to defeat.

As for Helldivers, in January, Arrowhead CCO Johan Pilestedt Insists that the studio shouldn't have the final say on the Hellraiser movie because it knows nothing about making it.

“We're not from Hollywood, we don't know what it takes to make a movie,” Pileste said. “So we do not and should not have the final say.”
