Arcade1Up Countercades get first batch discounts on Amazon Black Friday

Both officially licensed machines retail for $150, although the Class '81 has typically sold for closer to $170 since Amazon restocked it in July. The Class of '81 is a combination Ms. Pac-Man and Ms. Galaga machine that consistently outsells the Pac-Man version on Amazon. If Amazon sells out, Walmart can now sell the Class of '81 Countercade for the same price.
Both compact cabinets include three pre-installed Namco arcade classics, a 7-inch vertically oriented monitor and full-size arcade controls. Notably, both models were released ahead of the 2024 holiday season and are already sold out at full price. Given their affordable price, Arcade1Up Countercades are popular holiday gifts.

The Class of '81 Countercade has a 7-inch, vertically oriented LCD screen with artwork of Ms. Pac-Man on the left and Galaga on the right. Despite its compact form factor, Arcade1Up Countercades feature full-size controls. The game has a red dome arcade stick, two yellow buttons, a red button, and power and volume switches. Marquees, side panels and control panels feature '81 art icons and logo art.

The machine's complete dimensions are 8.7 x 9.4 x 13.11 inches, and it weighs just 6.3 pounds. While it's designed to be played on a flat surface like a table or countertop, it's light enough to sit on your lap while lounging on the couch. You don't even need to be near an outlet, as the Class of '81 Countercade can be powered by the included Micro-USB cable or four AA batteries (not included).

Pac-Man Countercade originally launched last November. It has the same core design as Class of '81, just with the classic Pac-Man theme and three Pac-Man games:

Unlike the Class of '81, the Pac-Man Countercade maintained its original $150 MSRP when it reappeared on Amazon in September. The price remains unchanged until Amazon's Black Friday sale.
Arcade1Up Classic Special Edition Cabinet

Arcade1Up's Recently released classic special edition cabinets There are no Black Friday discounts, but we expect these to be a popular choice this holiday season since they're priced lower compared to Arcade1Up's deluxe version. Classic SE cabinets are divided into three themes: pacman, Ms. Pac-Manand Mortal Kombat.
The Classic Special Edition is a throwback to Arcade1Up's earlier cabinets, which you can see on display at your local Walmart and Target stores. These 4-foot-tall cabinets cost $334 and feature a 15.6-inch display and 13 preloaded games. Adults who plan to use these cabinets should purchase the adjustable bar stools or the $59 risers, sold separately. Even including the risers, the Classic Special Edition retails for $393, about $100 to $200 less than the Deluxe Edition.

Luxury Cabinets by Arcade1Up No risers are required as they are typically 61 inches tall (just over 5 feet). Other upgrades include a 17-inch display, illuminated marquees and a faux coin door on the front. Luxury cabinets typically retail for $500 to $600, but Amazon has four models discounted to $450 for Black Friday: Pac-Man, Class of '81, NBA Jam and Golden Tee 3D.
There are a few other Deluxe Editions in stock, including Mortal Kombat II, but Amazon has recently sold out of Big Buck Hunter, Terminator 2, and Galaga.
