Between us Developer Innersloth finds a reference for the game in a new chapter Triangle starOn social media, the back and forth between Innersloth and Deltarune developer Toby Fox inspired some friendly friendships.
warn! There will be no major plot spoilers discussed in this article, but if you don't want to know anything that happens in Deltarune Chapter 4, maybe this article isn't for you!
A reference can be found at the beginning of Chapter 4, when Chris, Suzy and Noel are exploring Noel's house. Kris can lead the gang into a closet full of empty gift boxes, and if Kris chooses to check out some boxes, Noelle will ask Kris what they are doing.
For this, Susie proposed: “I mean…must admit that this room is a bit suss…especially that vent.” Noel then replied: “Haha, good reference, Susie!” …although Susie doesn't seem to know what Noel is talking about (“Huh?…reference?”)
Susie certainly was through the use of “sus” and quoting the word vent, of course, thought of among us, where players among us often hide. Go to x/twitter says“Ahhhhh among us is referenced in Deltarune skdjdslslx; lskdk ima crast Out Out”, followed by “Thank you King @tobyfox”
In response, Fox decided to do some trolls:

He posted a fake screenshot of Deltarune Patch Notes that read:
We are releasing a Hotfix for PC & Mac to remedy some of the issues that are happening in the game. You can confirm the version number in the lower right corner of the file selection screen.

Innersloth answers “respect.” If it is not obvious, Fox actually doesn't delete the reference. He just wandered around. Interestingly, this gag is a stupid way to point out that Fox has been using version numbers: Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of Chapter 2021 are marked version 1.0, but Chapter 3 and 4 are Chapter 2.0, not Chapter 2.0, but v.0.0.0.087.
