Afro Samurai series and movie Steelbook Collection gets a big discount

Amazon has a big deal on the Collectible Blu-ray box featuring the African Samurai: The Complete Series and the 2009 sequel movie African Samurai: Resurrection. The retail price for the release last November was $40. Steelbook Blu-ray by Afro Samura Discount is now up to $28.

Afro Samurai is one of the coolest anime of all time, with a recently released version with a properly stylish Steel Book case, with one side of the show’s artwork and the other side of the movie. The director's tailoring features are interviews with actors, discussions with RZA, behind-the-scenes features and more. Adapted from the above comics Written and illustrated by comic artist Takashi Okazaki, Afro Samurai tells the story of a lonely samurai avenge. A story about combat power fighting for a warrior with a No. 1 headband – said to give God-like power and immortality – the only way to get it is to challenge and defeat its current owner in battle. The wearer of only the No. 2 headband may challenge No. 1, and naturally, warriors throughout the land often fight each other to create magical fabrics.

The first Afro Samurai mini series was animated by Powerhouse Studio Gonzo, back in 2007 and starred in Samuel L. Jackson As the voice of Africa. The Wu-Tang clan RZA was a music composer and featured in incredible and brutal animations that quickly turned into a cult classic.

The series was resurrected in 2009. The director's cut version includes more behind-the-scenes documentaries, interviews, and a look at the Afro Samurai video game released the same year.
