Just over a year after release Call of Duty: Warzone MobileActivision ended support for the game, which included removing it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Activision announced the news through a written statement X (formerly Twitter). “Looking forward, we will simplify the scope of the game.” May 18 is the last day the game will be available for download from Apple and Google's stores, Activision ends players' ability to buy “Call of Duty Points” or “Black Cells” in the game “effective now.” Social traits are also retiring.
However, Activision says the server can still be used for players who have already downloaded the game – essentially, while you can't download the Warzone phone or buy anything after this weekend, you can still play it. Activision didn't say or when to shut down the server for Warzone Mobile.
“Players who have installed the game by Monday, May 19, 2025 can still use shared inventory of existing content for cross-access, as well as servers that dock with online games,” Activision wrote. “Any unfixed COD point can also be redeemed in content available in the store.”
However, according to Activision's Warzone Mobile websiteWarzone Mobile will not be able to use future Warzone content. Activision also does not offer refunds to players who purchase COD points or black cells in Warzone Mobile.
“After careful consideration of various factors, we are proud of the achievements of Call of Duty: Warzone: Warzone, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations for PC and console audiences, such as PC and console audiences,” the statement said.
While this effectively means that support for Warzone Mobile seems to be coming to an end, Gamespot's Warzone Mobile team, who knows Activision, is working on other projects.
