A truly great multiplayer game is free for a limited time on Steam

Steam users can get the beloved Warhammer: Vermintide 2 for free this weekend as part of a celebration hosted by developer Fatshark.

From now until November 23 at 9:59 PM ET/6:59 PM PT, you can visit Game's Steam page And add Vermintide 2 to your library.

The game normally sells for $30, but Fatshark is making it free to commemorate the studio's 10th anniversary of Tides games, starting with 2015's Warhammer: Endgame – Vermintide. The event also includes new content for Vermintide 2 and its spiritual successor Warhammer 40,000: Undertide.

For the uninitiated, Vermintide 2 is a cooperative multiplayer game that pits a team of four players against an army of Chaos and Skaven hordes. think of it as a A Left 4 Dead-like experiencebut you're swatting giant rats with melee weapons instead of mowing down zombies with an assault rifle.

Vermintide 2 was released in 2018 and still enjoys plenty of new content and support from Fatshark to critical acclaim Last year’s new battle mode Get tons of quality-of-life updates and free DLC over the years. Just this week, Vermintide 2 added the “Return to Rick” level, which recreates a fan-favorite location from Vermintide 1.

In fact, this is not the first time that “Vermintide 2” has been temporarily free on Steam –Fatshark makes the same move in 2022. The game is also available at full price on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, but it's part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Standard libraries, as well as the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog.
