exist Interview with IGN to discuss the launch of Grafton Farmhouse Map Rework this weekWe asked Art Director Corey J. Dixon to think about how horror production company Blumhouse transforms Phasmophophobia's genre-defined gameplay into the big screen.
While you'll be forgiven for assuming this adaptation, it might end up feeling like any old Ghosthuning movie, Dixon is clear: it's going to be a “fans want to see” movie.
“We have a really good partnership with Blumhouse. It's so nice,” Dixon said. “It's going to be a character phobia movie, not only a ghost hunting movie – we're going to make sure it's a movie that fans want to see, but we're going to work closely with them.”
“They are really willing to work with us, obviously, we want to work with them,” he added. “So, yes, we have a really good partnership and I think fans will love it.”

“Working with Blumhouse and Atomic Monster marks an incredible new chapter in the game and we can’t wait to share more as the project grows.”
We had a great time in Blumhouse's last big horror game adaptation. We spent five nights at Freddy's 4/10: “This large screen has too many plots for the feeling of indie horror, and the game's original security camera is not thrilling enough.” Freddy's second move comes in December 2025.
