Fortnite leak points to pet-like companions, including dogs and skateboard turtles options

A series of fresh leaks suggest Fortnite will add pet-like cosmetic “companions” to its Battle Royale. The original design included a range of dogs, as well as turtles on the skateboard.

Now, it is believed that Epic Games is working with fellow companions, an evolutionary version of pets, which are able to scan in games near the player's character. Fans want these creatures and your allies to see them, although perhaps not the enemy’s players – so your new turtle friend has not blown up.

Officially, Epic Games has not yet admitted that their companions are developing and it is not clear whether they will arrive this season. But whenever they launch, companions will be the first new cosmetic type since the introduction of kick-offs began in November 2024, which is shoes.

Yesterday’s Big Fortnite update brought the game to a new Alien Bug-Attracted season for its main Battle Royale section, while Fortnite OG moved to its beloved season, with Cube appearing for the first time.
