Dev said it would rather play players than play “Microtransaction-riddled Roblox Slop Ripoff”

Aggro Crab is another developer of Crab Treasures and a recently released Co-Survival Climbing Game Peak, who targeted the latter’s roblox clone in a Twitter/X post today, where the studio would rather play Pirate Peak than play this Microtransaction-ransaction-riddled-riddled Roblox Slop Ripoff Ripoff Ripoff Ripoff Ripoff Ripoff Ripoff Ripoff.
TBH would rather you steal our game than play this micro-translation @Robu Less Ramp crack pic.twitter.com/ulrshllgz2

this Posts in question A screenshot of a Roblox game called “The Cliff” is shown, which does look suspiciously similar to the peak of Aggro Crab. Both games have a round-headed protagonist whose goal is to climb a mountain in the heart of an island, an activity that can be done alone or with friends. The cliff even calls it in the description is inspired by the peak!
But “inspired” may be a bit generous. Check out the two game descriptions side by side. This is the peak:
Peak is a collaborative rock climbing game where the slightest mistake can spell your doom. Whether it’s a solo or as a lost group of natural scouts, your only hope to save from a mysterious island is to expand the mountain in its center. Do you have a need to reach the peak?
Work together
Need a hand? You need to rely on your friends to zoom in on the mountain, which changes every day. Help each other, or place ropes and climb peaks to make it easier for those who come afterwards.
This is the cliff:
⛰️Cliff is a challenging rock climbing game where even the smallest mistake can be your failure. Trapped on a mysterious island, the only way to escape is to reach the top of a towering cliff. Do you have the ability and courage to enter the summit?
✋Work together
Need some help? If you wish to have any chance to reach the peak, you have to rely on your friends. The mountain is tough, so help each other and beware of dangers to make it easier for those who follow you to climb.
Woof, is that the same? Essentially, this is synonymous with the same description copy wholesale and some exchanges are made. A comparison of the Cliff’s badge and Peak’s steam achievement shows that the Cliff also named its “Coast” and “Tropics” biomes directly after Peak’s position of the same name.
Aside from things like quality and range, the biggest material difference between the two games is that cliffs have microtransactions. You can buy certain items using Robux, including rock climbing pickups, parrot friends, and startup packs. There is nothing like this in Peak. The game itself is $8, that's all.
Unfortunately, this is a common phenomenon on Roblox. Insert the names of almost all games (AAA or Indie) into Roblox's search function and you'll find countless clones. Just a quick search and I can find changes to the micro-translations about Pokemon, Mario, Sound, Running, Untitled Goose Game, Five Nights at Freddy (Woof, a lot of them), Fortnite, Elden Ring, Stardew Valley, Stardew Valley, Celeste…I can keep going. Some of these games sell with respect or loyalty, but many simply use the stolen assets in the game they are based on, while others are fairly blatant clones trying to hide themselves by changing some appropriate nouns.
Given the history of Roblox whack-a molar moderation method It's hard to say whether the Aggro Crab's annotation will have any effect on the cliff. But at least the studio already knew what it wanted. The solution may be just to buy peaks. But if you're so desperate, you'll love playing cliffs and developers will prefer you to do some pirated versions.
