The guys in autumn are the ideal game for players' manufacturing levels, but the epic is making it dim

Fall Guys celebrates its 5th anniversary today (August 4, 2025). Below, we review how its creative model matures and cannot flourish.
It feels very obvious. Fall Guys – a quirky, top-notch gaming performance Battle Royale Platformer – will be perfect for the level of player creation. Fans of Mario and Banjo-Kazooie can create whimsical death traps, with dozens of little beans running through.
“I know the chance of this happening is very low, but man, an editor at level would be great,” redditor2033 wrote postal The fall guy lives for a year. “So, this game is easy to survive for many years.”
Sometimes things can be an interesting way, as Epic Games acquired Fall Guys Developer Developer Mediatonic in March 2021 and launched Fall Guys Creative, a level editor where players can create their own islands in two years.
Players do not waste time bending their creative muscles – Van Gogh's masterpiecebuild a Zany Mount Olympusand design Intuitive jungle top maze The competitor's intermediary's own work.
The passion for mini-game creation spreads throughout the fall guy community. Players not only created maps, but also built their own favorites database, created tutorials to encourage other players, and begged for Chinese facilities to get better tools so they can build larger and better maps.
“When the idea was first launched, almost every stage felt innovative in its own way,” Fall Guys Map Creator Mech33 told GamesPot. “Even something as simple as a tilted stage, it’s fun to roll the iron ball from above.”
Eventually Mediatonic even started using Creative for its designs and began to remove some of its older maps as updates caused them to break down, thus providing space for more creator maps in the rotation. Some map makers call this the “golden age of creativity” tool itself is being updated regularly, giving creators a lot of freedom.
Mediatonic began bringing levels created by players to the official playlist, allowing creators to find opportunities to attract audiences almost immediately.
“Community Creative Map is the main game mode, and has won millions of dramas,” Autumn People Map creator Pepppie said to the text in a message. “(There is a) large community with great map makers and new and good creative maps almost every day.”
Good times won't last. Mediatonic began removing game modes created by players from featured playlists, making it harder for creators to find audiences. Gamespot has been linked to the intermediary about the reasons for the change, but has received no comments. Many people think this is the only motivation to continue to create. EPIC supports creators who perform well in Fortnite Creative, giving them a cut of revenue they earned from Royal Contest mode – but, while the Fall fortnite platform has access to the Fall Guys, Fall Guys creators don’t get such benefits.
Mediatonic has set up a creation program that allows creators to get new projects and mechanisms early and provides feedback from official developers. According to some of the creators, the group has been closed. The creators of the Autumn Guy say they are not looking for big spending, but they want some incentive to push them on.
“I feel like the momentum behind Fall Guys will certainly slow down compared to before,” Mech33 said. “Recent updates focus mainly on visual improvements rather than introducing new tools or headers, which makes it harder for creators to find new inspiration.”
Even if the creators are making maps, it's hard for them to put those maps in front of the players, thanks to the changes they say, they say the agency has been surfaced in the fall guys.
“Recently, (Mediatonic) removed all the game-making creative maps made by players from the main curated game modes, meaning that now it's based on luck only if your map is in the remaining few modes, such as Discovery,” Pepppie said. “This decision has taken the most outstanding map makers out of the game, and many, if not most, have left.”
According to several creators, editors at that level have evolved significantly since their launch, but they are still looking for new features and tools like the ability to make chains, hang objects and build dynamic objects, unlike anything else in the fall guys. There hasn't been anything like that recently, but some creators say other features may be enough to inspire them to build something new.
When the Fall guys were initially launched, there was nothing on the market. Sure, it has DNA from Mario Party and all sorts of royal battles, but nothing takes the madness of sweaty raves with the tension of knowing any moment, as the other beans end in front of you.
Other games such as Fall Guys have risen in recent years to match Epic Games’ game show Battle. Stumble Guys enables mobile players to create levels for tens of thousands of steam and millions of machines. Eggy Party – commonly known as the guy in autumn – Haas caught the attention of a huge participant in China.
It's obvious that the online experience offered by the Fall guys has an appetite: busy mini-games that are reminiscent of TV shows like Pieout and Takeshi's Castle. This is especially true when there is a group of creators who regularly offer new levels. This is no longer the case, but the creator hopes to change.
“If medium languages release new tools or new tools or features that make creators think, ‘I can build something amazing for this, then the scene can certainly bounce back,” Mech33 said. “But if meaningful updates are constantly delayed or stopped altogether, then interest may continue to decline.”
Creators like Mech33 are still eager to do something for the fall guys, but, not enough to encourage them to push the map across the finish line. For now, Fall Guys’ creativity exists in a strange dilemma: full of potential, but waiting for another spark.
