Bomb Nemesis was recently awarded the highest honor for board games as it was named Game of the Year 2025 In Germany, this year defeated Flip 7 and Krakel Orakel to receive the highest honors.
Spiel des Jahres may not be a household name in the United States, but it is the most prestigious and influential board game award in the world, similar to winning an Oscar for films. Since 1979, a German independent jury awarded Spiel Des Jahres (literally “Game of the Year”) the best overall board game.
