Build a Rocket Boy, developer in Edinburgh, Scotland MindseyeThe game has sent high-risk emails to about 300 British workforces after its disastrous launch.
Sources familiar with the insider of the studio that plays with told IGN that the high-risk emails have also been sent to Playfusion employees, with Barb receiving an acquisition in late 2024. PlayFusion, whose CEO Mark Gerhard became Barb's Co-Ceo, became Barb's commonplace, as part of the acquisition, is working on another game – a fast-paced FPS called Ascentant, designed to appear in the year.
last month, IGN reports Barb has started a redundant process after Mindseye is released. The standard 45-day consultation process began on June 23, and under UK law, this is triggered when employers propose 100 or more layoffs within 90 days. IGN learned that building a Rocket Boy currently has about 300 British employees and 200 overseas.
At the time, Barbu issued a statement confirming the redundant process, insisting that the layoffs would allow the studio to “focus on providing Mindseye with continuous updates and performance optimization, while also ensuring long-term success in building Rocket Boys’ future ambitions.”
Shortly after Mindseye was launched, Bab said it was “sad” for the problems players faced during the gameand promises to release a series of patches to address major performance issues, failures and AI behavior errors. The launch of these patches has begun.
Mindseye’s troubled launch has led developers to cancel sponsored streams, and reports that players receive refunds can surface online even from the usual stubborn Sony.
On Steam, this doesn't depict all the pictures that Mindseye is currently popular, the game peaked at 3,302 at launch, but only had a peak of 46 players. At the time of publication, 26 people were playing on Steam, and Mindseye’s user evaluation score was “mainly negative.”
The story-driven action-adventure game Mindseye was originally designed as part of the ubiquitous, “Roblox” of the “adult” creation platform led by former Grand Theft Auto Design Gesign Peacter Leslie Benzies. Barb eventually turned to focus on Mindseye, but its work failed to do business for the company.
Meanwhile, a Bab source told Ign that Benzies posted staff after Mindseye in a short video call yesterday on July 2.
Before Mindseye's release, the review re-tuned the memory of Mark Gerhard's release. Co-CEO's Headlines Someone has made a “consistent effort” in “waste games and recording studios”, It is recommended that people be paid or use spam bots to make negative comments. The boss of publisher IO Interactive, made the killer game, Then a denial.
Barb sources told IGN that inside, there is a desire for the Mindseye Redemption arc that will eventually see it succeed in the studio. However, when staff face anxious waiting to discover their fate, there are serious questions about whether Barb can fulfill its content afterwards (including the promised multiplayer mode) post-release roadmap.
Earlier this week, Barb released Mindseye's third post-release update to the console, which will be released later on. “We have watched hundreds of hours of game video and player feedback across multiple channels to prioritize the most pressing issues and improve the experience for all console players,” the studio said.
