The Elder Scrolls: The Betrayal of the Second Era brings together elements of board games and desktop RPGs to provide an open and highly replayable instructional experience without the need for a master of the game or a large number of rulebooks. As the name suggests, the game was set in the second era of Tamrier World, which happens to be the same time range as the online reel. The main storyline sees 1-4 players’ mission to prevent the Black Worm’s Demon Order from stealing the King’s Amulet and unleashing a multidimensional disaster called “Planemeld.”
The main campaigns are designed to play a role in over three hours of courses, where players create their own characters and build and customize them in battle and exploration with unique skills. Five major areas of Tamriel-Skyrim, Morrowind, Black Marsh, High Rock and Cyrodiil can all be explored, and each offers their own unique side quests and activities. Just like in a video game, you can even join several factions. The box comes with everything you need to play – including dice, play tokens, cards, character tables, onshore map boards, a modular set of hexagon Exploration tiles, rulebooks, Questince Quest Books, and more.
