After three years of waiting for the previous chapter of Deltarune, developer Toby Fox promises to be faster in the next episode of the legend. Currently, Chapter 5 is set as the 2026 version.
The final credits for Deltarune Chapter 4 reveal this information, which was released along with Chapter 3 earlier this month. No further specificity is given for dates or windows.

Deltarune is a “sequel” to the beloved independent RPG Undertale and has been released since 2018, with the second in 2021, and the last two chapters Next to the release of Nintendo Switch 2 earlier this month. The game follows a man named Kris who lives in a quiet town monster familiar to those who play. Together with Suzie, the bully of the school, they are trapped in a mysterious “dark world” and meet a prince named Ralsei who accuses them of darkness by sealing the fountain of darkness to save the dark and light colors. Each chapter deals with a different dark fountain in the “monster of the week” format, although Chapter 4 is a bit disconnected in exploring the game’s overall metadata strategy, fans speculate that fans may eventually re-kidnap the game to the promise.
Chapters 1 and 2 are available for free on all major platforms, while the full game includes Chapter 3, 4 and all future chapters (at least seven) are priced at $25. With paid releases, we have reviewed all of Deltarune's content so far, Give it 9/10 and said: “It’s incredible, well-designed climax, fascinating characters, hilarious and serious writing and excellent music have left behind the hell of lasting influences that I’m unlikely to forget.”
