Netflix Devil's City and Devil May Cry Exhibition host Adi Shankar shifts his attention to Duke Nuk After obtaining the screen copyright from the gearbox software.
The creative protagonist of the animation makes fun of his next project in an interview gentleman. While projects like Devil May Cry Season 2 are currently the most important, it sounds like something based on the legendary taunts the first-person shooter series.
“I’m in contact with companies with different IPs and companies that I want to work with,” Shankar said. “I bought the rights to Duke Nukem. Not the rights to gaming, but from the gearbox.”
Duke Nukem is an unquestionable 90s video game franchise that started in 1991, but it wasn't until 1996 that the pace of FPS was found Duke Nuukum 3D. Although the sequel's laundry list arrives in the following 15 years, entries for 2011, Duke Nukem forevercriticized by critics and fans. The titles of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 era have done so much to damage the reputation of the Blonde, Buzzcut Hero, that there has been no new Duke Nukem installments since then.
Shankar has already made ideas for what Nukem looks like today. It's unclear whether fans can expect to see animated Duke Nukem shows in Shankar's other projects, movies, or other projects that are completely different, but it's clear that Shankar is trying to put some form of project behind the scenes.
“It’s a middle finger for everyone,” Shankar said, describing his vision for Duke University in Nukem. “When Duke Nukem blows up, a group of people sit around trying to turn it into a brand, when it’s just the middle finger. Duke Nukem can’t be made by the company because when the company makes Duke Nukem, it’s no longer Duke Nukem.
We will have to wait for what Shankar has in the 90s icon. At present, no details on the cast, plot or release date of the Duke Nukem show have been disclosed. It is unclear how recent rights breeding will affect Legend Entertainment Duke Nukem movie coverage in 2022.
