007 First Light Devs doesn't want to shoot games

Earlier this month, killer developer IO Interactive officially unveiled 007 First LightThis is the first James Bond game since the 2012 007 legend. Abrak went on to explain that IO's game engine has been modified to allow the team to create what James Bond is known as “spectacular action suit.” These include close combat as well as driving sequences, which are the staples of nearly every Bond movie and video game.

While this version of Bond is not based on any actors in the film, Abrak suggests that the character remains rooted in Ian Fleming’s original role, including scars on the face. The game will document Bond's path to becoming a Double-0 agent, which was only briefly involved in the 2006 Casino Royale adaptation.
