Planet Lana 2: Announced Leaf's Children to be Released in 2026

Lana's Planet will receive a sequel after the release of “Great Review” in 2023. Revealed as part of June Xbox Game ShowcaseLana 2's Planet: Where the Leaf's children will stop in the first game and follow Lana and Mui on a bigger adventure in the charming world of Novo.

After saving her home from a robot outbreak in the first game, Lana 2's planet sees Lana and her companion Mui dig into Novo's history to reveal its mysterious past. With it comes an adventure that contains a “deeper, longer story,” more challenging puzzles, and moving stories about the duo’s “indestructible bond.”

While Lana 2's Planet will retain the series' iconic side-scrolling gameplay, it seems the overall experience will progress faster. According to its Steam PageLana 2's planet will contain more challenging action sequences to take advantage of Lana's newly improved agility. Although the first game focused on her puzzle-solving skills, Lana will now be able to jump into the glider while escaping dangerous situations. Additionally, Lana 2's planets see the series perfecting its stealth mechanics, making the entire adventure more intense and requiring a higher strategy.

The acclaimed composer Takeshi Furukawa behind the planet Lana has been confirmed to be in the sequel. It also shows the same fascinating art as its predecessor, but further develops it by introducing new environments such as the underwater level.

Planet Lana 2: The Leaf’s Kids are scheduled to be released in 2026 and will be released on the first day on Xbox Game Pass.
